A home should be more than shelter — it should be safe, healthy, energy-efficient, and designed to support dignity, stability, and opportunity. Yet far too many individuals and families continue to live in housing that contributes to poor health outcomes, financial strain, and housing insecurity.

Healthy Smart Homes is centered on providing housing security to improve quality of life of individuals and families.

Your donation helps remove barriers that prevent people from accessing safe and affordable housing. Contributions support:

  • State-wide outreach and marketing campaign to bring awareness to families of the variety of downpayment assistance and closing costs programs, especially those who are eligible for the WA State Covenant Homeownership Program.

  • Down payment and debt-reduction housing-access assistance (as grant funds are available)

  • Housing stability services for vulnerable individuals and families

  • Community financial housing education and equitable housing opportunities

The Washington State Covenant Homeownership Act (Covenant) that began on July 1, 2024, has as October 1, 2025, led to approximately 800 new homeowners statewide.
